CDC

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is an organization that works in an effort to better prepare communities for disasters by helping to ensure health safety and security even in times of crisis.

FEMA

The Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA) is an organization run by the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS). It is their mission to support citizens and first responders to ensure that as a nation we work together to build, sustain, and improve our capability to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate all hazards.

Ready.gov

Ready.gov and Listo.gov are initiatives that were formed in 2003 through DHS and FEMA in an effort to increase the importance of preparedness and to encourage individuals in the nation to become prepared for both natural and man-made disasters.

Red Cross 

The Red Cross is an organization that gears itself to help mitigate disasters and sufferings of individuals caused by pestilence, famine, fire, floods and other great national calamities. 

Duane Arnold Nuclear Power Plant - Emergency Information

This website contains important emergency preparedness information for people located within 10 miles of the Duane Arnold Energy Center. It was developed by emergency management officials and provides basic information about what to do in the event of a nuclear emergency. This information is updated annually.
